Hi! New to raising chickens for eggs. On June 11th we accumulated 7 chickens from a customer (1 rooster, 3 leghorns, 1 RIR and 2 Plymouth Rocks). On June 13th we bought 4 chicks from TSC (2 white brahmas and 2 dark brahmas). On June 23rd we bought 3 chicks (1 RIR and 2 red sexlinks). Lastly, on July 22nd we bought 2 easter eggers. 16 is it!! I told my husband, "No more!". The first 7 are still mean to the next 7 smaller chicks. The last 2 are separated until they get bigger. This is hard work but fun!
We live in Central Texas. My husband and I work full time. We have three adult children and first grandbaby in the oven.
