Heh, just thought i would see if anyone has any tips. I have been raising chickens for over 5 years and this new to me. I have a 4+ rescue possibly brown Lohman chicken. She has t laid for over a year and I’m not concerned about. Heat has been getting crazy, I noticed about a week and a half ago she was having a hard time. I also noticed feather loss, but figured she was molting. I found her the morning of 7/4 under a nesting box not on the roost like normal. She was panting and seemed hot. When i picked her up her legs were dangling under her with no movement. I brought her inside my house and placed her in a box. I was giving her electrolytes and feed the first couple of days. Her poop was bright green. I thought she had coccidosis and started treating with corid. On the 4th day, mites were everywhere. I sprayed her and treated her for mites. She struggled a little but was still eating and drinking. She continues to be loosing feathers and new ones are growing in. I read about Vitamin b complex and started that on Monday. I also realized that i had nutridrench and gave that as well. Her poop is returning to normal, her appetite is okay not great. But she isn’t moving either. She can only move by flapping her wings. Her feet sometimes curl in and other times they are flat. I’ve moved her back outside in her own coop. If she can see the other hens it increases the food she eats. But she still only eats enough to poop maybe 4 times a day. Any suggestions, or stay the course.
