One of my White Leghorn hens had a growth suddenly appear on her foot, right at her ankle. Just appeared a day or so ago.
She's 27 months old and otherwise seems fine. She's her normal, happy self. Lots of energy. No weight change. It does not seem to be causing her any discomfort - she's not favoring it at all. No change in habits or routines. Same diet.
Any ideas of what this might be, and how it ought to be treated?
