First post. I have a Speckled Sussex from a hatchery that was hatched June 4th, delivered June 6th. Was put under a broody hen, along with 5 others. Other 5 are perfect. The Sussex, however, only has primary feathers on her wingtips. Secondary feathers are virtually nonexistent. I noticed this 2 weeks ago, have been keeping an eye on her and it's not changing, at least, not for the better.

It's both wings, totally symmetrical, perfectly imperfect. All other feathers are normal. Growing as expected, runs around like normal, and it's other wise a normal chick.

Diet: Grower feed, access to layer (she's in with all my birds) Fresh water, fresh fruits, veggies, meal, wax and superiors as treats, crickets, too. Last week has had access to game bird feed (for some of my other birds).

No fleas, ticks, mites, or lice. No exposure to any other, unknown birds. My 3 new birds are in quarantine in the house, and this was an issue before I got them.

I'm fairly certain it's not feather picking, or anyone bullying her. The lack of feathers is too perfect. Plus the feathers are tipped oddly and in fantastic, shiny condition.

Her wings also point up, right at the sky and are wavy at the edge.

Any clue what's going on?
