Fighting a broken hvac system and long work hours thanks to Prime week but I will get some pics today of the shade cloth that we installed on coops and runs last weekend.
108 in Austin at my daughter's house. Kicked our butts so we weren't able to do all the outside work I had planned. Fortunately she is handy so we managed to change out some lights and fans. I will get some pics tomorrow for DIY home repair tax.
Pics of Cholo's house after adding more ventilation. I felt bad that I almost lost Gorda to heat sickness. I opened up the top of each wall and added soffit vent covers.
I was outranked. I would not have brought Huskies here. I asked my wife why would you let a wolf in a hen house!? She didn't want the female turned into a puppy mill. I sincerely believe the young male is ok because he was brought up with chicks but I will never trust the female completely.
Our husky pup Lobo is 100 percent broke and doesn't pay any attention to our birds. But Maya was already an adult when we got her so it's a slow process. I'd say she's 90 percent broke but I don't trust her to be outside with the chickens if I'm not there.
@ManueB Poofy Jr is the daughter of Poofy Sr. Sr has passed but she was a great mama. Poofy Jr in the center foreground. She belongs in Red's tribe when she isn't being a mom.
Think I'm at 9 roosters and 30 ish hens with the blind chick unknown at this point, no matter the blind chick will always be here. It has integrated well with the 2 Guineas we kept. I hope to finish their house this weekend.
Itty Bitty is checking out the blind chick and the baby Guineas. I check on them often and the blind chick has a full crop and was taking a dust bath a few minutes ago. Given their similar size and age I think the chick can bond with the Guineas. I'd like to house the baby with the Guineas once...
