I figure after last nights long winded post I owe some tax. First off the sisters Squirrel and Creamy Then we have the Double Trouble girls Blueberry and Raven. These are the 4 girls I mentioned last night that vary from hanging out together to splitting off into pairs. All 4 look different...

I've thought long and hard about the interactions of my flock. Before I break it down, and this could get long I should point out that my chickens are allowed to free range all day. They can be found in the yard, creek behind my house and the hillside so they have room to get away from each...

Thank you. Actually while it shows off her hackle markings, it is a very unflattering picture of her. In person she has a neck and carries herself really well. That was taken when the temperatures first dropped and it was a windy day. Like me, she was less then impressed with the weather. I can...

All 3 horses could care less if a chicken gets on their back, even Dirt. Louis tosses out some of his breakfast and dinner grains for them and if one of the hens wants to pick through their hay, they will stand back and let them. Butter when she was laying was notorious for trying to make a new...

Thank you. Actually both my boys and 2 of my girls have feathered feet. 1 of my original hens and her 2 young granddaughters have clean legs. When I lost my original boy Drumstick to a coyote I also lost a clean leg daughter of Daisy who is my original clean legged girl so I'm keeping her 2...

I know you like Marans, that is why I paid my debt mostly with them. I also love my Marans, and as long as I have chickens will have at least a couple of them. I really hope some of my girls live as long as Fat Bird. I didn't get any solo pictures of the girls tonight, but in the almost 2 years...

Ok, I'm going to show this one picture to poke a little fun at shad and then no more I promise. I also knew that a heavy tax evasion fine would be in order so I came prepared. This is what my daughter does every day when she lets Russ pick. She places Branch up on his back and lets him take a...

I too love my boy's just a smidge better then my girls, always have I can't help it. I want to thank you again a few weeks ago for your input on my Branch situation. I'm happy to report thankfully he's taken interest in the much larger cochin girls and one of my hens Creamy and has forgotten...

You see, I took that as a challenge. Decline if you want BUT... here we have 2 cockerels roosting on a horse And then my Marans Holly going for a ride. And when you take into account the chickens love the horses and vice versa, I have countless photo's like this.

Seeing how this is your thread shad, I have a tax question. Do you only want Rooster photo's as tax payment or will hens and chicks work as well? Just curious as while I have roosters and have taken hundreds of photo's of them some people are not allowed boys. I feel bad for the poor rooster...

I just found this thread and want to keep up with all the wonderful work you are doing to improve the chickens lives. Even if you cannot do everything you wish for them, with your experience they are very lucky chickens indeed. Tax, my favorite picture of my beloved and missed Drumstick.
