Well I had SUCKER written on my forehead when I went in for JUST A WATERER the other day šŸ¤Ŗ The salmon faverolles stole.my.heart!!!! They were SUPPOSED to be pullets. But Iā€™m beginning to think otherwise on these babies. They are about 1.5 weeks old. And some of their feathers are getting pretty dark. What do yā€™all think?!

I left with 7 because I wanted 6 and there was a loner baby left so obvi chicken math lol. But these are the ones with the darker feathers. The ready are very light in comparison.

I hope you're right. I wouldn't be sad if we did get one roo out of the bunch but 3 is a bit much lol
Around 2-3 weeks old, they will begin to get chest feathers in. On a male, these will be black. But a poorly colored female could have some darker brown chest feathers (but they wonā€™t be black). Also, in my experience, the male SF will have a fairly obvious comb beginning to show around 4-5 weeks.
