Drop foot/injury

I have a hen that had a nasty wound from a very enthusiastic rooster. (I do have saddles now). She had a deep gouge under her wing in her upper leg/ thigh area. Initially I thought she wasn’t waking because of the deep wound. This was approximately 5 days ago.

Gave her a shot of penicillin (per vet) and have her in a kennel.

Her wound is healing, however, the injury is far worse and is causing drop foot. So when she tries to walk her right foot curls under and she walks on the top of her foot. I should say she won’t even walk on it, but when she tries this is what happens..

I can’t feel any gross deformities in her bony structures..

So my question, how long could this take to heal? She is getting stronger, eating and drinking. I keep her cleaned and well fed. I have been taking her outside so she can hang out in the garden with me while I weed. Today is the first day she is attempting to stand and seems to have a little more control over her leg.

We do not have a vet that will actually treat her here, just gives advice on medication doasage.

I am even attempting some therapy with here, moving her foot and checking her grip, and she can curl her toes around my finger, although the grip is far less than that of the other foot. It seems to be hard for her to lift and control the foot.

Is there a contraption or splint I can try or should I just keep doing what I am doing. Without an X-ray or vet in the area it’s impossible to diagnose, I know. But suggestions are welcome.
How long do I let this go before we know that it’s time to euthanize?

You can try to make her a chicken “shoe”. I’ll try to make visuals real quick..

The visuals were horrible.
Anyway-
Trace her straightened toes on a piece of cardboard, then cut the foot-shaped piece out. Put it under her (clean) foot and secure it with vetwrap. That should keep her toes straight.
