Sold my 2 green cheek conures yesterday. Gods I miss them :'( ! I'm now down to 4 birds. Just waiting on my elderly birds to pass which could be tomorrow or within the next 5 years, LOL! I don't plan on giving away the birds I have now. Barrel might not make it to the pending move date, and my other bird out of the 4 I will try to smuggle in. Weeee. Not.

Barrel (Quail) is still alive and kicking . I have been looking for pet friendly places to move to (Move date now sometime this fall, le sigh) and a lot of places only allow 2 pets. It means I might have to downsize my flock by 3 birds. I hate the idea. Haaaate it. Hoping to find a place where I can keep all my brats, including Barrel .

I'm down to 1 quail from 3. Two died, possibly from something in their diet. I'm planning to move in June or July. A firm date is written in oatmeal. I'm waiting for funds to come in and there's legal rungamaroll involved. I need a better place to live. I'm decluttering in a big way and the birds are alive and happy. Plus the dog is helping me with my sore hand.

Weird. Barrel is fine today. It's as if nothing happened! Super weird. It's likely she sustained a neck injury of some kind. SHe and the other birds had a major freak-n-flap session that woke me from a nap. **Shrugs**

Tsunami (Conure) was looking sick recently. Then she got better. Now it's Barrel looking similar to how Lock looked before she passed. Ugh. Not fair I hope I have chicks hatch out of this incubator. The guy who had the quail chicks didn't have them available for delivery and I have no car. Ah well. Will have to post for Local breeders or someone willing to deliver on Kijiji (sorta like a canadian Craigslist).

I'm in a conundrum. Do I buy unsexed quail chicks, or do I get hatching eggs? SO. Much. Indecision! Maybe I'll stick to the hatching eggs and see where that leads me, even if no chicks hatch. I'll be in the market again for more quail anyways after a few months

Thank you everyone for the Happy Birthdays! My day went well and it was very relaxed with pasta and money and pray'n those darn quail eggs hatch (which isn't likely at this point.....). Although it was a cold day outside, I was comfy and warm!!
