Hi! i have a adult coturnix quail, i just got her and shes the sweetist quail ive ever met. However, she dosent get along well with my other quails as shes bigger than them. She pecks all the male quails so i removed her. a day later, my friend gave me 6 king quails. (the king quails have fully grown feathers but arent mature yet). 3 king quails flew away so i had 3 males left. i put the remaining king quails with my female quail.
day 1: female quail dosent really like the king quails. she pecks them when their in her way.
day 4: female quail is ok with king quails now. She stopped laying eggs. She only pecks them to move them from the food container.
day 6: female quail is getting along well with king quails now. I occasionally find the 3 king quails huddled under her (note that the female quail has a habit of always standing tall)
idk if she became half broody or something.
Note: when i got her, she was sick (had diarrhea)
shes still sick right now (has droopy wings, lethargic, only moves to fly when i throw her in the air, and thats it)
what can i do to get her to lay eggs again? thanks.

Give her time. She's still adjusting to all the changes that she has just been through. Birds hate change.
