I have a 4 week old hen that has just started making poops that are soft and almost look slug-like. Previously they were more compact. She is on Purina Game Bird Starter Feed (30% protein) and I mix some chick grit with probiotics in (but they seems to just pick around it and not eat it).
It’s not watery, but she seems to be pooping more often and these are getting stuck in the holes in the floor (picture 3). This cage was just completely cleaned less than 48 hrs ago. Is it normal for droppings to stick this much or is it because of the soft sticky poops? I’m just starting out and these are my first chicks. Any advice is much appreciated!
