So I have a 150 square foot chicken run with 3 chickens and their coop (but planning on adding 1-2 more chickens) and was wondering if I could put a raised quail cage inside the run? I haven't been able to find a straight answer, hoping you all could help.

^ This is the one I have now, but planning on building the one for the chicken run just a bit lower to the ground.

I have read keeping them near eachother can cause illnesses. Would love to avoid that, but the idea of the extra protection in the chicken run is very appealing and would really like to make it work. But if there's a real good chance they will get sick i'll scrap the idea.

Let me know what you think. Any info and opinions or even tweaks to the theory are appreciated!

Kk, good to know. Thanks!
So my chicken run and current quail cage have maybe around 8ft distance from each other. Is this too close?

Yes, if your going to raise chickens and gamebirds on the same property, they should be as far away from each other as possible. One group at one end of the property, and the other at the opposite end.
Very strict biosecurity protocols are imperative to raising gamebirds.
