Ok I spend an unhealthy amount of time with my newest flock lol, I've been trying to figure out what breeds I ended up with from our co-op, 5 are from a breeder so 3 are lavender orpingtons, one is a cochin, and I can't remember what the other one is (kids named her brownie) I originally planned on getting all orpingtons from the breeder but she told me someone had come in and bought all but a few. I got the others from our co-op, we lost one within a few days, I think it was an Easter egger, it had the eyeliner. I believe one is a buff brahma, we got a polish, and of course a leg horn but I'm not sure of the last one. Anyway, I wanted to see what yall thought on the breeds and sex, I'm in the dark on a few of them. Right now they're all loveable, except for the polish, I borderline don't like him, he always acts like I'm trying to eat him even when I hold him. I'm tempted to cut off his head fluff.
this first one, I'm positive is our alpha rooster, no crowing yet. He's about 11 weeks.
this 2nd one I feel is a pullet, she also has more of a soft rounded tail compared to the roo.
this 3rd one confuses me. It's got a red comb, bloomed later than the 1st, it was the smallest of the flock, has a rounded tail, but also likes to pick fights with a few other chicks.
I don't know what this one is, we got it from the breeder and I'm thinking it's a pullet, the kids call her brownie.
this is dottie, I think it's a pullet but it's curiosity and friendliness makes me think maybe roo? Also, it's face turns colors. It'll start our a coral orange color then go a lighter color. It's super chatty and loves being held.
this is puff it's a drama queen.
my sweet ozzy. I am pretty sure she's a girl
this is Butters. I was positive she was a roo bc she was always the first wanting to come out of her cage to hop right on my arm, puff up, and lay down. She's such a sweet heart. But now that her waddle and comb isn't nearly as red as the others, I'm leaning toward a pullet bc the last time we had leghorns, the roos comb turned redder every day from the day we got them.
this one is Goldie, she doesn't stay still for pictures, im not sure of her breed or sex, this is actually her at about 8-9 weeks. They're all almost 12 weeks now. She doesn't chirp but makes more of a grunting sound. She's very skittish but easy to hold.
