I know there's many threads on this, but I have 4 chicks hatched April 19th. All have larger combs than my sexed chicks of other breeds that are roughly the same age (Barred Rocks, Caramel Queen and a Rhode island red), and they have shown larger combs since they were less than 2 weeks old. However, one of them is getting a heavier comb than the other 3 every day. He is also much more of a jerk (although the BCMs are definitely not as sweet as the Caramel or the Red). So I'm trying to remain hopeful that I could get some hens.
