Hi everyone, someone recommended I reach out on this site with a question about my silkie chicks eye. Looks like this young one might have a man eye problem, only in one eye. Any thoughts or suggestions on what this could be and what to do? Two pics of bad eye and two of good one to compare.

Thank you in advance!

General eye care is to flush/clean the eye with saline, then apply an eye ointment like Terramycin in the eye a couple of times a day.

It's hard to know what's causing the swelling if only one eye is affected and there's no other symptoms. It could be something as simple as getting an irritant or scratch to the eye to an indication of respiratory disease.
I'd first try treating just the eye symptom and see if it resolves in a few days.

Thank you for your response. Where would I obtain the Terramycin ointment? Is that something I can pick up in a store or does it require a prescription from a vet?
