Spraying yard for mosquitoes

I’m not sure if this is the best forum to ask this question, but does anyone spray their yard for mosquitoes? Our mosquitoes are awful this year. The chickens don’t seem bothered, but I get eaten alive unless I douse myself in Off, which I don’t like to do everyday. Obviously, I want to keep the chicks safe from whatever I spray. Thanks!

I'm pretty paranoid about spraying anything around my chicken. Between those chemicals making their way into the chickens or even us through the eggs, the risk seems a bit high for me.

As a workaround, my wife found something called Dynatrap - attracts bugs via light at night and traps them in a detachable container. Then I just feed those bugs to the chickens. There's been a notable decrease in bugs/mosquitoes in the yard since we started this.

The best way to reduce mosquitoes is to reduce standing water. Check low points in your yard, outdoor drains, gutters, and buckets or anything that could catch and hold water. It takes a surprisingly small amount of water to make an incredibly large amount of mosquitoes.

X2 on the Dynatrap. There are a number of different light based traps that will catch bugs, but the Dynatrap is the only one I've tried that catches significant quantities of mosquitoes. I see a huge difference in my yard with it.
The others got mostly moths and things that didn't bother me and didn't make a difference on the mosquito population.

Yeah I do all that. I even put dunks in the French drains that hold water. We have a beaver pond on our property and I think a lot of the mosquitoes come from there. I don’t really want to kill the beavers, but I’d like to keep the mosquitoes in our yard at bay. Maybe both options aren’t possible. 🤷🏻‍♀️
