Frog/Toad?

Forgive me if this is common knowledge among chicken owners. I've never owned chickens before May.
This morning I found a frog or toad in the chickens' nesting box. I chased him away. This afternoon, he was right back there, making himself at home in the other nesting box. Is his presence going to dissuade them from using the nesting box? Are chickens fine with frogs/toads?

Can you kill it? Frog have webbing on their toes and are generally smaller, and toads are large and have no toe webbing. Frogs are toads have toxin in their skin, so it’s best to get rid of it.

This one was a darker, muddy color. I wouldn't have called it terribly large but not really small, either. I didn't see its toes. I was 'cleaning up poop' when a 'large bunch of poop' suddenly moved under my hand!

I'll have to figure out a way to trap it or catch it in something. :(

Just pick it up, it's only a toad, it won't hurt you.
Or if you're too afraid to just PM @Isadora or @Overo Mare and one of them will get it for you. 🤣

Hey hey! Ain't that the truth!
It's perfectly fine to pick up the toad with your hands. Just wash them afterwards. It's not like you're going to eat it or anything.
I'm a little surprised people are suggesting that the toad should be killed.
Really I would just remove it far away from the coop. Even off your property, if it makes you feel better.

Most frogs and toads are harmless and toxin free. No need to kill harmless animals because they're inconvenient.

Just grab the little squishy and put him somewhere safe.
