Hi, I have 2 Aylesbury ducks with bumblefoot, one of my girls has it on her pad and the other has it on her toe bone. I have been treating them both since December by soaking their feet in epsom salt, spraying vetrycin, rubbing triple antibiotic cream on and then putting a gauze and vet wrap on them every night.

I was told bumblefoot can take a loooonnggg time to heal and I’m totally committed and determined to get rid of it, but I just wanted some reassurance that I’m on the right track to them being completely healed or if anyone has any advice on how to speed the healing process up?

I’ve added a few pictures to show both my girls progress (some are a bit graphic). I picked the smaller ones foot and it was pink skin underneath but the next day a smooth scab reappeared so I’m not sure if it’s healed? Or should I wait to see the scab completely disappear before stopping treatment?

Any advice would be so gratefully received.

wow looks much better you are doing well by your birdies. the only thing i know faster is surgery and there are videos online of people doing it, and they remove a big chunk of cheesy stuff from in there and then you keep doing the soaking, etc. until it's complete healed.
