My hen has a long history of bumblefoot… she had it for a while in her foot pad last year with two failed attempts on antibiotics, however it seemed to settle. Recently she has developed it on the end of her toe… I have been daily Epsom salt soaking it for a little while, along with wrapping it with colodial silver spray at night however I haven’t seen any improvements. I occasionally remove the scab with the hopes of removing the core, however the scab always returns. Here are some current images of a recent scab removal. She seems quite happy and healthy so I’m guessing my only options now are to keep up with the soaks. Has anyone else been in a similar situation and did the soaks eventually work? Are there any other at home remedies I can try?
