Because when I feed them anything other than their regular feed, she swoops in and grabs at it then runs off then does it again.

Nobody tells you how hazardous keeping chickens can be. They've accidentally injured me three times now. At least they say it's accidental...

The downside of a friendly chicken? PECKED IN THE EYE! Will be wearing protective gear during future social visits.

I've never spent so much time outside doing nothing! The girls love being out in the grass and dirt. Highly entertaining.

They've been with us 3 weeks tomorrow. Guessing they are 3-4 days older than that. Velma is a lap chicken. Olive uses me as a lookout tower.
