Hi today I found a really young pigeon in our basement,it’s not too small and is completely covered with feathers.he seems to have a little scratch nothing too serious but it really can’t fly,I put her in a cage with some water and chicken starter feed I got for my quails,I didn’t think that he was eating so I force fed it food and water after 6 hours of him in the cage, how do I help it and would it eat the food?how do I know if it’s eating or not?

I think you're doing the right thing. Is he pooping?

I would go ahead and post about this in the pigeon section of the forum, if you scroll down through the topics, incubating, raising chicks, emergencies, you should reach other poultry, ducks, peafowl and pigeons should be among them.
I dont know much about pigeons, but hopefully the folks there will know some stuff you can try!

Don't worry, I wasn't saying you shouldnt post here! Just that in this case there may be people in that section who could help. How is the pigeon doing? Any update?
The pigeon is alive and alert, but not recovering:(don’t worry I have know a friend of my dad that has pigeons we might give it to him since we don’t have proper feed and space for the poor bird
