Hi there!
I have a flock of about 30 chickens from 2yrs old to 2 weeks old.

I have a few different wormers but unsure what to use.
Can’t get into a vet so I’m not sure.

To me it looks like tapeworms as they are flat and white.

I’m getting mixed reviews on how to worm them so I need help and fast as 2 of my bigger girls are very thin and I’m worried about them the most.

Someone said if I used Valbazen I could overload them and kill them and said I have to use wazine first bc of this.

Currently we have used apple cider vinegar as a preventative and all the other all natural chickens wormers within the past couple weeks but none have worked.

In the past (last summer) we’ve used Valbazen immediate dosaging and the safe guard goat dewormer.

What should I do for my girls? I’m worried some of the girls don’t have a lot of time as they are very thin. Thank you

You can buy deworming pills if you are worried about overdoseing. But you will have to do each brid one at a time and find away to keep track of who had or not.

Do you have any pictures of the worms or the poop? Tapeworms are flat, and usually you will see just the segments. A product with praziquantel is the best treatment for tapeworms. Equimax horse paste is probably the cheapest, but it is also in Zimectrin Gold horse paste, and Droncit tablets online. Valabzen and SafeGuard are good for most other worms, such as roundworms, cecal, gapeworms, and capillary worms.

I guess my biggest worry right now is that I’ll overload them with worms not necessarily overdosing the medication.
You can take in some fresh droppings to your vet to test for what worms and worm eggs your chickens may have. Tapeworms may not effect all of your chickens, so you only have to treat the ones who have them visibly in their poops. With other worms, most of the chickens will have them if one has them.

Yes I do I’ll post it here. Will Valbazen not work for tapeworms? I’d like to treat them as soon as possible but not sure what to use or where to get it unfortunately
