~Run With The Pack~ Wolf Roleplay

The silvery wolf stumbles through the forest. Blood stains the ground underneath him. He is alone and defeated, he has challenged a proud alpha for a role that was not his to play. His eyes glint, ambitious and cunning. The sky is splattered with the color of his wounds by the setting sun. "I'll have my revenge," he croons softly, "One day. Soon..." His pelt slips into the lengthening shadows.

It has been many years since the evil wolf Nox was driven from the great pack territories. Now the packs, old and new, have flourished... but one is darker than the rest. Darkpack is more than it seems. Their goal is to take over all the territories, driving out the other packs or killing them, and they might succeed. Will you stand by your pack, or join the growing darkness? Or will you be a lone wolf, and fight for yourself? Run with the pack!

Rules:

• I run the RP; what I say goes.
• No drama or temper tantrums in OOC. You have no idea how annoying that is.
• No controlling another person's character at all.
• I am not accepting any new packs until further notice, so please don't ask.
• You can have a mate and pups; however, please keep it appropriate. Nothing specific about how the pups came about, or other related things.
• You can have as many charries as you want, as long as you are able to manage them all.
• If a pack claims new territory, it must be claimed with a full battle, or surrendered with the other pack's full consent. No "It belongs to them now".
• The only characters that are to be RPed are wolves. The only non-wolf creatures that can be played are prey animals, and they are not to be played as main characters.
• One blow per post and do not state the injury inflicted. Only dodge 1 out of 5 attacks; your wolf is not a ninja and should take honest injuries where applicable. I'm not talking about a tiny scratch, either. I mean honest injuries that can put your wolf out of the fight. Don't leave someone else's charrie unable to fight back, either. Disregard this of course, if you are fighting your own charrie.
• Now, by the same token: In major battles, you may kill another person's wolf as long as it is realistic. HOWEVER, the wolf in question must have suffered a lot, and had plenty of chances to escape death. Obviously, a single wolf cannot kill three others, but if the wolf in question has suffered a lot, had plenty of chances to escape, and the situation is fair and square, it is allowed. I know this is very different from the other RPs and the archived versions of this RP, but I'm enforcing it to prevent situations where a wolf illogically walks away from a situation and/or somehow survives critical injuries that should have killed them. If there are any disputes about this, I have the final say.
• If I see that a wolf is dodging attacks more than they should be, or they aren't wounded reasonably given for how long they've been fighting, I have the full authority to point it out.
• No instant healing. If a character has minor wounds from a battle, they should take about one day to heal (real time). Broken bones should take at least five days.
• Be realistic. A single wolf cannot take on a whole pack and come out unhurt, and a single wolf cannot take down a whole pack solo. No impossibly strong or invincible characters, either.
• Part of the fun in this RP is the Darkpack plot, and how tough they are going to be to defeat. Please don't have your wolf, who is most likely not trained for war like they are, completely pwn them in battle. It's no fun for anyone if your wolf pwns all the enemies at once.
• No magic or superpowers.
• No major plot twists without my permission.
• And most importantly, HAVE FUN!

Pack Duties:

• Hunting: Common wolf prey is divided into two parts:
• Solo Prey: (That can be caught by one wolf):
  • Rabbits and hares
  • Small mammals such as squirrels
  • Fish
  • Small birds
• Pack Prey: (Must be caught by several wolves and hunts are usually led by the pack's alphas)
  • Elk
  • Caribou
  • Moose
• Guard and Patrol Territory: The territory is the heart of the pack; it provides food and a place to raise a family. Territory must be defended until the only option is to flee or die. Trespassers must be challenged, and driven off if they have no purpose or are hostile. To keep this appropriate, just say "He/she marked the pack's territory".
• Protect the pack: Wolves protect their friends and family at all costs!

Ranks:

• Alpha Male: Mate of the Alpha Female and a leader of the pack. Equal in rank to the Alpha Female
• Alpha Female: Mate of the Alpha Male and a leader of the pack. Equal in rank to the Alpha Male
• Beta: Second-highest ranking wolf. Will take an alpha's place when they die unless they are challenged.
• Packmate: All regular wolves. Middle rank.
• Pups: Young wolves who do not have official ranks yet. Pups are any wolves under a year old
• (Alphas and Betas can be challenged for their rank by any wolf, just please do not do it constantly, and remember that the loser of the fight is almost always exiled.)

Setting:

The main setting is in the taiga, a subarctic boreal forest. All of the packs dwell here.



In the distance are the mountains. Each of the packs have some parts of the mountains in their territory; however, Stonepack has the most, and is most suited for living at their peaks.



The river runs through each of the pack's territories, providing fish, fresh water, and a good place to swim!

Personality: Calm, collected, and a bit stern. Senkah watches her pack like a hawk, and almost always knows what is happening. She is impatient, and has a temper that is easily set off. When she gets after wolves for disrespecting her, or ignoring her orders, she can be very harsh; almost a bit too much. Wolves who are lazy, or ignore her orders, infuriate her. She is accepting of most loners. Despite her tough exterior, however, she is a kind wolf. She loves her daughter, Faedon, more than life itself, and if it came down to it, she would sacrifice herself or wolves in her pack for her.
History: Was born in Stonepack to the previous alphas, inherited the rank of beta. Atra, Darkpack's alpha female, if her sister; however, she was exiled after attempting to obtain leadership too many times.

He is a kind wolf, but in a sort of odd way. He loves his daughter Faedon dearly, and is very protective of her.

Personality: Fiery and tough, Faedon has a fiery temper that is easily set off. She is rugged, and keeps to herself for the most part. She's a bit of a "loner", and the only wolf she is really friends with is Sierra. When she loses her temper, she will take her anger out on anyone, even if they've got nothing to do with it. Deep down, she really is a sweet wolf; but she's troubled, and she has a hard time expressing her kindness. She'll never admit it, but she is lonely, and deeply wants a mate.
History: Born in Stonepack to the alphas, Senkah and Hades.

History: She was born in Emeraldpack. Her mother died in delivery, and she was nursed by another wolf.

Greedy and selfish, Atra cares for her pack, but most of this care comes from the fact she needs them to become more powerful. Atra's ambition can get the best of her, and she can loose herself in her power at times.
History: Atra is Senkah's sister, but she was driven from Darkpack for too many attempts at gaining leadership. She then helped found Darkpack with the remnants of Nox's followers and grew the pack beneath her. She is four years old.
