Hello, I am new to backyard chicken farming. We purchased 7 “female” newborn chicks in April (born 4/1/20). They are now about 3 months/12 weeks old, all different breeds. We received an “extra” Wyandotte that is I believe is a rooster. Another one that I purchased, a black Orpington, is also looking to be a rooster! So now I believe that we have 2 males and 6 females. I am concerned because I think the “roosters” are already fighting, although the Orpington is MUCH more aggressive (which I thought wasn’t typical for this breed?).
I would greatly appreciate anyone with more experience that I have providing confirmation about my novice gender suspicions (see pics) and/or any advice on how to manage this 2 rooster issue! Thank you!
The 2 (suspected) roosters are a golden laced Wyandotte (more docile) and a Black Orpington (very aggressive). I found the Wyandotte today bleeding!
