Ok, I've been looking at pictures online (very few of the Lavendar) and I for the life of me can't tell the difference between the so called "Lavender" Sussex and our Coronations. Can anyone help me out with this quandary?
That is what I think too but wanted confirmation. Some websites actually make it look like they are different. IE: feathersite has a pic of a lavender and 2 pics of coronation. Who Knows.
Different terminology in different countries.
In the UK a Coronation Sussex is a Blue Columbian pattern.
In the US a Coronation Sussex is a Lavender Columbian pattern (from birds imported from Australia).
My understanding of a Lavender Sussex would be a solid coloured Lavender, in the US a Self Blue.
Feathersite is not a reliable source of chicken colours.
