Chicken eggs have started to pip on day 20. Is this normal? Do I leave the early hatches shells or take each chick out after its fluffy?

Chicks are fine in the incubator for 24-48 hours after hatching (the yolk they just absorbed will last them for about the first 3 days of life.)

If you open the incubator frequently, you let out too much humidity, and the ones that are still hatching can have trouble.

It's probably best to wait at least 24 hours after the first chick hatches before you take out any chicks. Then once a day (or maybe twice), open the incubator and take out all the dry chicks and any chicks that are mostly dry. Any that are just laying there wet can stay in until the next time.
