Hi, I am from Spain originally but living in Phx for the last 10 years, although I visit Spain twice a year, now my house is here. I have chickens since am been here and always I found good information at backyardchickens, I haven't register until now. Couple streets south of me chickens, peacocks, and Guinea hens, run wild on the neighborhood.

I started with a bantam Delaware, then an EE, RRI, A, BO, Welsummer, Barnevelder, and FBCM. Between my last rescue dog and my neighbor's dogs I lost 9 hens in the last two years. I keep adding some hens, One of the last times my Bantam was broody she hatched 4 eggs out of 6. Right now just 5 hens, but only one started laying, is a FBCM from Bishop farms. I have one Roo Delaware not crowing yet but will need to find a home for him. I had three other Roos at the same time, two SLW and a FBCM born end of May and June this summer that found homes for them, already bcs my back neighbors complained that they were crowing during the day. Manhonri got my FBCM, think he is very pretty.

BTW... has the SLW roo started crowing yet?

ETA: oops.. I just read that you rehomed him.

Interesting that last Saturday when I was walking my dog I walked past her home and heard her roo crowing... and now he's crowing in my back yard.

, am sure he will be happy to have some ladies today to play, I think both Roos are a good pair, Rootutu, has the looks and been so young sure he is going to fill up more. Does your hens look like mine? Now I will have to rent the stud for my hens once in awhile,

SLW, not crowing yet, but am sure he is a Roos, he is very timid, he always followed his foster mom until she was gone, he is the last one in the pick order. He sleeps inside the nest area.....behind the hens...

Yeap, they went to a farm in 78 near Florence, I just have the Delaware Roos, he comes from the lady in Gilbert, and he was hatched June 4rd under my broody hen.
