(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I've kept red sexlinks for years and my grandparents always had chickens (how else do you feed 7 and 13 kids respectively?) But I was only just introduced to EEs recently, and my need for a larger, more diverse flock has become pretty all important!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
5 laying hens, 2 pullets, 1 (maybe) roo to be rehomed or freezered if my fears are correct and a few chicks (which I'll get opinions on soon!)

(3) What breeds do you have?
Red Sexlink, an EE hen, Golden Comet Pullets, A maybe Roo of EE x Barred Rock parentage, EE chicks, Black Copper Maran Chicks, Silver Laced Wyandotte chicks, and Silky x Hamburg chicks

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love their curiosity and intelligence, though some might question that last part :p and what wonderful companion animals they make, pets that produce!

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I sew traditional Mohair teddy bears

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I was in healthcare, behind a desk, not on the frontlines, but suffer PTSD so I'm home most of the time now, selling bears and eggs! I have a husband who's a heavy truck mechanic who can build me just about anything, and 3 wonderful children who are rapidly turning my hair grey with how fast they're growing. I have two lab mix dogs and two cats.. and just a few acres shy of that dream horse.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D
I absolutely love this forum, but I'm usually a shy kinda gal so I've avoided posting for the longest time, but with all this distancing strangeness, I figured the digital age has reached a whole new level of necessity and it's time to get my feet wet!
I originally found it only God knows how long ago when I was looking for ideas to turn the bottom half of an old treehouse into a chicken coop. :D
