Kiowa, the little town nobody has heard of
IMG_2131.JPG Hi, my BR chick has a bump on his beak. Picked him up from a lady who buys and sells chicks form hatcheries. She is very popular in my area. The bump doesn't seem to bother her. She eats drinks and is fine. Just curious if it's something I should be worried about. Thanks for your help! :)

If the chick is very young, the bump is probably just the “egg tooth”.
It’s a little growth on the chicks beak that helps the chick break through its shell when it hatches.
It will fade as the chick gets older.
