TSC usually carries Purina duck feed. if you are going to keep your ducks separate from any other poultry you have. I have ducks chickens and geese so I feed NON GMO poultry feed and add Nutritional yeast for extra niacin. Even using waterfowl specific feed young ducks need the extra niacin. And Pekins may need it all their lives. The liquid B complex will say injectable but we use it orally if your duck has a special treat she'll gobble down put the liquid B on it just enough treat that she'll eat it all and get full dose.

I am currently keeping my ducks and chickens separately but free ranging together. I did this solely because I thought it would be easier to give the ducklings their duck feed and not have to worry about supplementing niacin if I was giving them a general poultry feed. I was misinformed by the actual feed company. However we are moving to a farm in a couple of months and ideally the chickens and ducks will be together. Can I ask you what specific feed you are giving your flock. Also I read the article you posted, can you tell me what brand of nutritional yeast you are using and how much. Are your chickens getting this as well, or do you make sure the ducks get it separately. Sorry for all of the questions, but I want to do this right. Thank you so so much!

Great thank you so much! I’m at TC now, and I’m looking at the Purina duck feed… it has the same amount of niacin as the feed I’m using… 25mg per pound which apparently isn’t enough. But I got the Vitamin B complex and will get the nutritional yeast asap. I have some at home already as I’m a vegan and my dr recommended I supplement with that! Ha.

Ok I see the nutritional yeast on eBay. Can you tell me how much you are mixing into their feed? Thank you.
