I think that’s a cockerel. Is he still a Jess?
Ya know. I am new to chickens & I was just saying that to my husband last night. I said, she is starting to look like a rooster to me.
Also, she is the most aggressive of my flock. The only one that has been making kind of chicken sounds (other than chick chirps) & I've seen her/him 😬 kicking my Lily.

Okay, so I reached out to my Chicken Guy & thankfully he's going to take Jess back & give me a refund. I was worried, I wouldn't be able to get rid of him. I'd love to keep him but, my township won't allow it, unfortunately. 😏

Entry #2
Jess, my 8 week old Green Queen Easter Egger. Who turns out to be a Boy. ha :D
I had a feeling. Wish I could keep him. I think he's going to be Gorgeous as an adult.

This just keeps getting more interesting. Tonight while getting them all squared away in the coop. Jess (my husband now calls Jerry) lol jumped out of the window & onto my arm. 😳 That has never happened before. The only one that jumps on me all the time is my Plymouth Rock, Merci. Talk about bitter sweet. He sat down on my arm & I just hung on to him & pet him. He stayed there for quite a while. Broke my heart knowing we can't keep him. :barnie💔 😥
