Anyone else's ducks afraid of them? I've hand raised half of these ducks and they still think I'm going to kill them when I go near them :th. Trying to get adorable photos of them yesterday because I hardly have any and they're all just blurs that barely look like ducks. I'm not sure how you guys get all those cute photos.
It takes time for full trust
I spend a lot of time sitting and watching mine
I can walk beside mine and my boys will follow me. In fact last night I had to go to the upper yard to garage and my one boy walked up the stairs behind me ( wish I had my phone with me so I could have recorded it ) I can weed whack or Mow the lawn and have to stop to let them go past me
My boys don’t mind being picked up and one will sit on my lap for as long as I hold him the other two a few mins is good and let me down :)
My girls on the other hand do not like to be picked up and will run away if I try but are relaxed if I’m just walking by or hanging out with them. If I need to pick one up to check it out for any reason I can with a little chase but they are not aggressive when I do get them All will eat treats from my hands and if I dare have a bowl they are all at my feet waiting for a treat
I got my Pekin at a few weeks old
My khaki drake at 8 days old
Their 5 offspring I hatched 5 months ago
I now have 3 Swedish that are 5 weeks got them at a day old and just starting that stage of scared of everything but will follow me out to their pen and in at night for lockup
My plan was 2 ducks
They are addicting :) 😆

I'm out of the loop. What is this beautiful baby? Do you have others? Such a cutie 💕
No, no others. I must be having issues with my incubator because he was the only hatch. 😬 I set a bunch of pekin eggs to raise for meat.
But at least he has a great and non-discriminatory foster mom. 😘
