Our little D’uccle bantam. She’s doing her best impression of a raisin bun in hopes he’ll show off somewhere else.

He tried to mount her once but I don’t think his butt could reach while holding her head so he gave up and I haven’t seen him try since. 😂
She’s the only really tiny girl so it’s not really worth the time figuring out how to make it work.
Sounds like my standard silkie with my serama!

That is hilarious. :gig

I call those fairy eggs. Typically they do not have a yolk. They're just a little kink in the system where, for whatever reason, a yolk isn't ready and the rest of the egg factory is...
Fairy eggs is better then fart eggs. :lau

Yes! This is most common with starter layers, though is pretty rare. (I have never got one.) A tiny bit of reproductive tissue is often mistaken and turned into an egg. Theres about a 30% chance or so of a yolk.

I had an egg about that size, blue, Monday from an 18 wk Easter Egger. None since. I read that young hens lay smaller eggs that eventually get larger.

Our EE’s new eggs with a store bought brown egg for comparison-
