Yes that doesn't hurt the contents of egg as long as not cracked it's fine. You can also scramble with shells and feed dogs hens etc. Do you have free choice oyster shell? I also feed back the hens eggshells after processing them in oven and crushing coarsely.
As long as the shells are intact they can still be eaten.
They do have access to oyster shells. They seem to like scattering them.
I don't know if it's necessary but I read it's changes the taste of raw eggs so I do it plus they are easier to crush up foe me once dried.
I bake the shells that I'm putting back out for calcium for the same reason - much easier to break up vs unbaked shells.
Its the whites that arent good for them-its hard on their kidneys but I dont remember why exactly. My dogs get a couple egg yolks in the kibble a week if I have a dirty egg
