It was a little tough to capture the level of wattle development or red / pinkness I'm seeing, but I tried! This is the bird I initially started the post about... (Now at 5 weeks tomorrow)

Looks female to me. My boys have had a lot more comb than that at that age.

I don't have access to my photos right now because I'm at work on the Chromebook.
Okay, thanks! No worries. That's the most developed of our crew right now, and the face looks noticably redder than the others in person, but I will hold off passing judgement in case SHE'S just ahead of the gang... 😄

Okay, cool! I know you can't go by behavior, but I had to laugh, I just saw another chest-bump interaction from this one last time I was out there with them. 😅 I will be on the edge of my seat waiting for the crow or the egg with this one! Haha
One of my pullets was the chest bumpingest thing you ever laid eyes on. She'd raise her hackles and jump and try to spur other chickens too. Crazy girl.

IIRC, this boy was just over 4 weeks:

And this one was even more decisively male:

And one of their sisters:

That's a huge difference! That's what has me questioning though too, because only one of my girls really looks like your sister pullet there, with a super clean beak. I definitely wouldn't *mind* ending up with a rooster, but I know it could all just be within the range of normal girl chicken stuff. :)

...Four roosters might be problematic though haha I guess no one here seems to think I'll have that problem, tho!

My different girls have different beaks to go with their different feather colors.

I'm not a show breeder so I'm not working on standardizing fine details. :)

Most of my boys are going to end up in the freezer. I'm working on creating "Camp Cockerel" for them to live in while they grow large enough to be worth eating.

Hahah That's cool! Once I have the space, I want to do something similar. I actually want to try one of those sex link projects where you keep for laying (or sell) the girl chicks, and raise the males for meat. I've been learning about all sorts of different breed combinations that can be used...
