Sad story. So, I went (And still are)out of town. I am 13 hours away from GA. My Agriculture teacher is watching the three baby guineas.(I am not blaming her! I'm not even mad. It is NOT her fault) All was fine untill yesterday. May 25 2022. We got notice that Snowy, my favorite, drowned. I also love Pickels, but dang that little Piebald is CRAZY!!! I cried for a few minutes, I mean, I cried when the two baby babies died. What happened is just pure bad luck. It really does suck. But its life. My teacher thinks it jumped off of the box in there with them and lost consciousness in the waterer. Now I have my two piebalds left, and I can't wait to see them grow! R.I.P Snowy!

Yeah... you know how I said I can't wait to see them grow? Never mind... racoons got them it sucks, but its life. I was just balling my eyes out, mourning over them. Not only the piebalds who I loved, but also Snowy, who I loved aswell. I know I should not get attached, but its impossible for me. My teacher feels so bad, she was offering to help hatch eggs. She said she is an awful pet sitter and my mother and I were like "No, your not! Its life, and sometimes it sucks, but things like that happen!" I just want you to know, it's not her fault, it's just life. They were not ment to live, they die. I say it's fine. I'm not fine, but I need to act like it. Especially since I have a FFA camp, and she will be there. Lol. The camp is on Monday, and it is Saterday night, 9:30. So, yeah. My situation is awesome. I'm gonna hatch more eggs though, and

I heard peeping from my ( once again) five eggs! Yay! Hoping to have a baby soon! Leaving for a few hours to hang out with a friend, and I'm hoping to come back to a little baby keet! They are all Madame Pearl eggs, so I'm hoping to have more Pearl's, and maybe a pied...

So my mom and I went out to get our guineas in, and we didnt see Ridges so we went to the nest. We had a hoe so Mom and I went to see if she was broody. I took the hoe from my mom and poked Ridges with the round end of it. She opened her beak and flared her wings, making herself bigger. We went and got my dad, to see if he could help. He grabbed a curtain rod and started jabbing her with it. He was finally able to get her off the nest and I was the one who needed to grab the eggs. Once I had the eggs, holding them to my chest and running, we were able to get her into the coop and I put the eggs in the coop. We went out later to see if she was broody, and she was not.

A week ago tomorrow, she stopped going broody for the second time. So two weeks ago she went broody again, and my dad and I spent a couple minutes chasing her off, and she did get off. ( this is after the eggs from the old nest got eaten by an animal. Same happened to this nest) she went broody for a week and after two days of me and a parent chasing her off, I came out with garden gloves that FIT me and grabbed her. She pecked at me a few times, but picking her up saves a lot of time and energy. Now their new nest is under a Pine Tree where a fence separates my farm and the Swamp. We own 11(?) Acres of swamp I believe...

I am so sorry it has taken forever for this to come out! I've been very busy!

I needed to cull one of the baby keets yesterday. It was the most awful thing ever, because once I chopped its head off its legs were kicking and beak was chomping... we have a solo keet, but I've not seen it eat food. I've been dipping its beak in water a few times today. Tomorrow I may get some chicks from TSC to keep it company.
