I have tried everything over 8 months. Garlic, monistat, copper sulfate, tylan powder , ASV, baking soda, epson salt, cipro, now on my 3rd day of Baytril. Absolutely NOTHING is working. I am at a loss but cannot bring myself to kill her. IDK what to do.
You have several threads. Is the the one that also has E. Coli infection? Doesn't sound like anything has been resolved in 8 months. You may want to research long term effects of E. Coli infection, this may be the main reason why she's not getting well or has reoccurring issues.
Culling may be something to consider when a bird is just not thriving and you have exhausted all avenues.
I'm sure it's been a frustrating time.

Yes. It is the same one. She did better a few times but it didn't last long. I know it is time and I was going to let the vet do it but when I took her, she said I couldn't be with her because sometimes it "Doesn't go well." She just graduated anyway so......
That is all it took. I have nursed this hen and love her dearly. I have read several ways and they all seem barbaric. Not only that but I have asked for people to help me do it but no one around has experience. I would hate for it to go wrong and her be in pain. I know she is just a chicken but I love her as much as I do my dogs.

Yes, I have had several threads about this. It started with a respiratory problem, then they had worms. (I used the wrong wormer) and lastly I didn't have gravel in the run and they were in a lot of mud for awhile, when it rained. I now have gravel and that is solved.I was new to chickens. I bought them sick. (not knowing) They have had everything from A to Z. I think she has had E. Coli from the day I bought her
I just now got them lined out except for this sour crop. I know it is time to give up but I have only been giving baytril for 3 days. I will give it a few more days and hopefully decide on the way I want to let her go if there is no improvement.
